The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says traffic is creeping through on the shoulder of Highway 401 eastbound at the Quebec border after a collision involving tractor trailers.
Officers say traffic is only moving at about 5 km per hour, and heavy snow is hampering clean-up efforts.
The OPP is advising drivers to exit the eastbound lanes of the highway at Highway 34 to Highway 417, or at Brookdale Road at Cornwall and take 138 to Highway 417.
Police say traffic is backed up and will be for some time.
