Calgary's parks and pathways have been filled with iconic Canada geese and their fluffy goslings in recent days.
If you've lived in the city for a while, you'll know goslings are a common sight in spring, but it's never a good idea to get too close to their protective parents.
In the past, geese have been known to charge and attack people, especially when their goslings are present.
Tanya Hope, a parks ecologist with the city, told CBC Calgary in 2017 that it's important to give the bird families a wide berth — for your sake as much as theirs.
