Got goslings? Calgary parks and pathways filled with the fluffy newborns

Calgary's parks and pathways have been filled with iconic Canada geese and their fluffy goslings in recent days.

If you've lived in the city for a while, you'll know goslings are a common sight in spring, but it's never a good idea to get too close to their protective parents.

In the past, geese have been known to charge and attack people, especially when their goslings are present.

Tanya Hope, a parks ecologist with the city, told CBC Calgary in 2017 that it's important to give the bird families a wide berth — for your sake as much as theirs.

But you can enjoy them at a safe distance with this roundup of photos. CBC
