What does a CAD Technologist do?
Creates computer generated 3D models and Technical Drawings of everything you see around you: Buildings, Cars, Airplanes, Cell Phones, Machines, etc.

What type of Industries would hire me after graduation?
CAD Drafting has many specialties each student will have the opportunity to explore different areas:
• Mechanical Companies - Mechanical CAD Designers prepare engineering drawings of Mechanical Components, Machine Assemblies, Aircraft, Tool and Dies, Moulds, wind mills, etc
• Industrial/Product Design companies - Industrial CAD Designers design Models of a variety of Products, Furniture, Home Appliances, cars, electronic devices, etc.
• Architectural/Construction Companies - Architectural CAD Designers prepare architectural and structural drawings of Houses and Buildings.
• Civil Engineering Companies/Municipalities - Civil Engineering CAD Designers prepare drawings for Construction Projects, such as Roads, Bridges, Water Treatment Systems, etc.
• Electrical/Telecommunication Companies: Electrical CAD Designers prepare Wiring and Layout diagrams, Circuit boards, Schematics drawings, etc.
• Many successful CAD Technologists work independently

Is there a job placement after graduation?
Yes, you will be placed with a drafting company for 4 weeks to learn about the “real world”.
After one month students are often hired for a full time position by the same company.

» AutoCAD Level 1 (2D)
(5 weeks) [2D CAD, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical]
» AutoCAD Level 2 (3D)
(4 weeks) [3D CAD, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical]
» Revit Architecture
(2 weeks) [2D/3D CAD, Architectural Design]
» Ergonomics
(1 weeks) [Designing taking in consideration the comfort of the human body]
» SolidWorks Level 1
(4 weeks) [3D CAD, Industrial/Mechanical/Furniture Design, Basic]
» SolidWorks Level 2
(4 weeks) [3D CAD, Industrial/Mechanical/Furniture Design, Advanced]

Note: Courses can be taken individually (course by course certification)

What time would I attend class?
9 am to 1 pm Monday to Friday for 6 months
(our schedule allows some students to work part-time while studying)

Would I have difficulties studying a subject I know little about?
If you are a visual person and you feel a certain passion for Technical Design, you should do fine. With modern CAD software anybody can learn and many mathematical calculations are done by computer.

When can I start?
Next start date:
JUL 22, 2019 (ENDING ON FEB 14, 2020) FOLLOWED BY JOB PLACEMENT.

Can I take part-time courses?
