Fantastic location in Hastings Highlands just outside the quaint village of Maynooth.
We are located just 20 minutes north of the town of Bancroft, and just 20 minutes south of the main East Gate to the world renowned Algonquin Park which is a National Historic site in Canada!
As this a family cottage, we take great pride in our second home. It is very well equipped, clean, and is very well maintained. We are constantly improving the property and adding new fun things to do. Sleeps 10! Why go to an expensive resort? This is a great place for friends and family!
Fully equipped kitchen has beautiful lake view and is adjacent to the 3 season sunroom. Built in dishwasher, microwave, cook top range and wall oven. Slow cooker, coffeemaker, waffle maker, toaster, lots of pots and pans, knives and forks, and every kitchen gadget imaginable!
Additional Amenities:
Gas BBQ. Woodburning Fireplace in Living Room. Fire pit. Dart Board. Horseshoe pits, Ping Pong Table, Air Hockey, & Badminton, & Bocce Ball.
Over an acre for the Kids to Enjoy Plus Hiking Trails Right at End of Driveway!
Stereo, 2 TV’s. DVD Player and VCR (huge selection of movies). Satellite TV. Internet, lots of games and tons of books and magazines for rainy day amusement.

5 Minutes to Village of Maynooth with Restaurants, Bait, Gas, LCBO, General Store and Many Fantastic Gift Shops and Art Galleries!
There are 3 Large Bedroom (2 bedrooms on main floor,,and a huge master bedroom in upstairs loft with 2 beds.)
We provide condiments and some dry goods (coffee, tea, sugar, mustard, ketchup, salt, pepper, dry spices of many varieties). Blankets. Pillows. Blow Dryer, Iron. Lots of rain ponchos.
We supply some campfire wood too!
What YOU need to bring:
Your own Sheets and Pillowcases, Toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, bug spray, sunscreen. Towels for bathing and swimming. Toiletries. Propane (we have 2 to 3 tanks at the cottage you may use that remain the property of the cottage. Occasionally there is still propane in them but if you need more propane the tanks can be filled in Maynooth). Bait. Fishing licenses. Trail permits if using motorized vehicles.

Horseback Riding and Trail Tours, ATV Tours (we highly recommend our friends at Highland Wilderness Tours which is located within walking distance of our cottage!
Maynooth Village:
We are just 5 minutes to the quaint Village of Maynooth which often offers many fun activities year round. General store, gas station with bait shop and LCBO! The village is home to many artisans and there are many galleries and giftshops. Live entertainment is often available at the historic. There are a couple of small restaurants, a library, and a chip truck in the summer.
The well equipped General Store is worth a visit too!
Great shopping is only 18 minutes away in Bancroft which has a new "No Frills" and "Foodland". There are many tourist stores, banks, restaurants, 2 Tim Horton's, a Beer Store and an LCBO. There are a couple of museums, a rock-hound and mine tours available. It has some really great dining and everything imaginable to keep you busy, even a bowling alley.
Algonquin Park:
Just 20 minutes north of us is the main East Gate of the world famous Algonquin Park which is a National Historic Site. There are thousands of miles of protected forests, lakes, and rivers. The Visitors Centre is a must see, as is the Logging Museum. There are tons of stunning hiking trails. Canoe rentals and camping is available. Lots to do, and many animals to see. Every Canadian should visit the park!
Cottage Rental Contract (I can provide a copy for your review) and Damage Deposit of $500.00 is required to secure a reservation. Minimum 6 night rental.
