TEAM RAPPORT BUILDING FOR SCREENING (& Rehearsal Spreads):
Phone calls starting Jan/Feb: Meetings taking place this MARCH APRIL MAY JUNE JULY & AUG OF 2019.
REHEARSALS TIMES & PLACES: You will be meeting & performing (acting) in a team of approximately 12 members. CSW’s@Work we will be recruiting approximately 9-10 serious participants who want to undertake the roles of actors—THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! We will provide an email network agenda by CSW’s@Work during Mar-Aug, 2019 for our rehearsals to be finely tuned and ready for launch on Sat-night August 24, 2019 2pm-10pm, @Malvern Recreational Centre Scarborough, Community Room Hall Gala.
Our rehearsal time-slots will be structured during (hours are flexible):
• Mon-Fri 6pm-11pm.
• Sat and Sun 7am-11pm (or later).
• Our rehearsal locations will be in Scarborough, Toronto-Core, & Toronto Uptown.
Location hubs will include, but not limited to: Director’s Studio, Rec-Centres, Civic Centres, Libraries, Mall Food Courts, Pubs, local coffee shops & cafes in Scarborough like Tim Hortons Starbucks McDonald’s, Outdoor Parks & Gardens, Churches, & other neat safe spaces.
OUR LAUNCH EVENT RECORDING FILMING & LOCATION:
Our recording & filming studio will be at the Malvern Rec-Centre, in the beautiful Community Room. Our live theatre production show will be recorded in front of a live adult audience 19-65+. It will be streamed to YouTube. Professional Itinerary will be provided to the Malvern community along with posters & flyers promoting our event. A very strong online marketing campaign will also take force for audience attendance & participation!
PAY & BENEFITS:
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: This is a non-union volunteer position, however professional acting portfolios will be provided for everyone which will include professional custom headshots, body shots, group photos, and performance-arts reels. Your name, character role, movie title, YouTube links, ‘all credits’ will be texted-designed w/ City of Toronto & Malvern Rec-Centre LOGOS on your photos for personal profile-marketing strategies and self-agency promotion.
STRONG SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE & INFLUENCE: You will be featured as an actor in our psychodramas and our videos will be uploaded to YouTube for sharing w/ family & peers. Links and referrals to real local auditions & casting calls will be provided where you may apply yourself having skills developed from our platform which can enable us to be taken seriously by casting directors and become casted into low budget Canadian documentaries, music videos, or commercials. Or, the resources can be used to build on our current talents already & further our portfolio status, respectively!
REFERENCE LETTERS: CSW’s@Work will aid participants with resume building skills relational to the performing arts industry if requested to. We will provide reference letters from our organization relative to rehearsal hours and the experience will be charted down and incentivized to you. Also, reference letters from the Malvern Rec-Centre perhaps, can be signed by the colleagues & our city connections, detailing the hours of experience incumbent upon the event in the community room for all the participants.
CASH PRIZE: There will be a $350 CASH AWARD for the best performer and actor of our event during our launch at our production studio, the Malvern Rec community room. The best actor award winner will be decided by a live audience, by loudest clap & cheer for who they thought was the best performer overall. This recognition will be carried over into next year’s “SIP-2020” as the “SIP-19 Best Participant” with the title, if we are selected by the City of Toronto again to continue…
…Upon future succession, the cash prize & title will be open again. And our friendly contest will undergo a fair game each & every year. This social group, SIP project, is long term. So we will be calling upon our participants again, each year during summer, as very valued participants, partners, psychodrama actors, and very important community builders & workers, for our facilitations as a team dynamism; to help co-create our web-series (I, Manny, am looking for serious long-term partners in community work given a unique performing arts dynamic).
