Do you want to quit smoking?
The tDCS-Varenicline Study may help you quit - Currently recruiting participants!
The Nicotine Dependence Clinic at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) invites individuals who wish to quit smoking to participate in a study of a proven treatment for smoking cessation.
You may be eligible if you are:
Aged 19 to 65
Intending to quit smoking
Not taking any drugs or medications that could interact with the treatment
Not pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding
Able to attend 10 consecutive weekday (M-F) sessions (~1 hour each) and 5 booster sessions (~1 hour each)
Able to attend three fMRI Brain Scan sessions (~1 hour each)
All study participants will be receiving varenicline (champix) free of charge.
