1. The CFSC is an eight-hour mandatory safety course which anyone who wishes to own or use a fire arm in Canada must complete, this course is the prerequisite for the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course.
2. The CFSC(Non-Restricted) is 8 hours + exam time.
CRFSC (Restricted course) is 6 hours long + exam time. This is a long day so don’t arrive late.
3. There are two exams
i. Multiple-choice /true or false written exam of 50 questions – pass mark is 80%
ii. Practical firearms safety handling test – student must demonstrate safe handling procedure with various types of Firearms – pass is 80%
4. Dress for the day is casual, think comfortable and work clothes - don’t wear your Sunday best!
5. The documentation you need to bring:
For the non-restricted course you will need one piece of government ID with your photo;
For the Restricted Course, you need proof that you successfully completed the Canadian Non-Restricted Fire arms safety course. So bring your current PAL or Non -Restricted Firearms safety Course - Course Report.
7. Successful completion of the CFSC allows you to apply for you Firearms Possession and Acquisition license PAL. Possession of your PAL will allow you to acquire firearms and purchase a_mmunition.
