We are looking to hire a Part/Fill Time Veterinary Assistant.
IMPORTANT: some work experience in Small Animal Clinics is REQUIRED
Wage depends on experience: bonuses are given depending on performance.
Training is provided, however, essential skills must include:
• Excellent customer service
• Familiarity with how a PET CLINIC works
• Knowledge in handling small animals
• Fast learning and ability to work in a high pace environment
• A love of animals
• Efficient work ethic
• Reception skills
• A professional, courteous, and client focused demeanor
• An ability to lift at least 20 lb.
• Welling to work evenings or weekends if needed
Hired staff will be responsible for:
• Assisting the veterinarian
• Walking dogs
• Cleaning kennels
• Keeping clinic tidy
• Feeding animals
• Restraining animals
• Reception duties including answering the phone, booking appointments, sending referrals, updating clinic’s FB/Twitter page, and scanning/attaching files
