Job Title: Jr. Bid Spec. – Commercial Quotations
Are you a skilled Jr. Bid Spec with experience in the Commercial Quotations, ready to take on a new challenge? Looking for a chance to work for one of Canada’s number one distributor of heating and plumbing materials and leading supplier of building materials? Join this South East Calgary team for a new change, an opportunity to learn and a full-time permanent position.

Do you have the right qualifications?
• 2+ years of experience in estimating, project management, and customer service experience.
• Possess the ability to multi-task between multiple bid projects and meet deadlines consistently.
• Intermediate in Microsoft Office; Syntax and AS400 experience considered an asset.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving-skills and time management skills.
• Undergraduate Degree or Diploma in related field.
What will your role look like?
• Prepare commercial quotes for various projects in a timely manner, effectively meeting bid closing deadlines.
• Identify product scope and other specific requirements of each individual project by studying quote requests, blueprints, product specifications, fixture schedules and other related documents.
• Obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors by specifying required products, verify accuracy of vendor quotes, and when required negotiate special pricing.
• Ensure prepared commercial quotes follow company’s standards of formatting and quality of information provided.
• Log quotations, update and maintain accuracy of company’s online quotation database alongside hard copy organization.
• Communicate via phone and email for requests regarding price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and service calls from both customers and sales associates.
• Monday to Friday 40hour work week located in SE Calgary.
