Job Description for CNC MACHINE OPERATOR
Agabet Machine ltd. is looking for CNC machine operators. If you are a hard working person with a CNC machinist diploma and are able to fulfill responsibilities listed below with little or no assistance, please apply by person at 5905 – 86 Street in Edmonton.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and operate CNC machines.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machine can perform the correct function.
• Install machine tools and gadgets using manual working tools.
• Replace old machine tools when worn-out with new ones.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Prepare a test run to check if the machine’s produce outputs according to specifications.
• Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determinate if the process has been completed properly.
• Operate two or more machines with little or no assistance.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Follow safety procedures performing all duties.
• Document all actions by completing a job sheet.
Requirements:
• At least 3 years proven experience as a CNC operator.
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• A keen eye for details and result-driven approach.
• Good communication skills.
• Successfully completed apprenticeship is required.
• Be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Safety shoes are required.

Successful candidate should have manual machining experience and multi axis machining experience. The candidate should be able to:
1.set up and program a machine TUR800 independently to manufacture parts in accordance with supplied drawings and standards
2.Know tooling usage and application for specific jobs
3.Complete full inspection documentation during the manufacture process
4.Measure parts to achieve a high level of Quality Control on all manufactured parts
5.Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of machine tools and work area
6.Lift up to 23 kg
