3rd Year Journeyman Millwright / Truck Mechanic

• 3rd year Journeyman Millwright / Truck Mechanic

Requirements:
• Interprovincial License/Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Certification preferred (or equivalent in mechanical or electrical fields with heavy equipment experience)
• Knowledge of rotating equipment
• Clean driver’s abstract
• Able to pass drug testing
• Excellent troubleshooting ability
• Ability to read and interpret equipment schematics
• Computer literacy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work both collaboratively, and independently

Job Description:

The Millwright / Mechanic is responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and/or electrical aspects of equipment, with a focus on quality service, and customer satisfaction.

Duties include:
• Inspect equipment for proper performance and determine faults and malfunctions
• Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective parts or systems
• Commission new equipment
• Provide customer training and support
• Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports
• Stay current with product development and technical best practices
• Focus on customer satisfaction
• Mentor/support apprentice technicians
• Comply with safety policies and applicable industry requirements
• Ability to travel as required
